I consider myself a well-rounded and hard-working designer, with over a decade of experience in commercial and residential design, and a mix of practical skills that apply to many different career fields.

After completing the Interior Design Advanced Program at Algonquin College (1999) in Ottawa, Ontario, I began my career in the commercial design industry. My experience during that time included large-scale projects (the Embassy of Finland), large corporate groups (Raytheon Canada, Tyco Healthcare, and Atomic Energy of Canada), various government agencies (NDP and the City of Ottawa), and a restaurant design in the New Edinburgh area of Ottawa, Ontario. My career naturally shifted towards residential design after that.

Taking a break from design, I lived abroad in Taiwan, traveled throughout Asia, moved to Alaska, and then returned to my roots in Tamworth, Ontario.

From 2017 to 2020, I worked in the cannabis industry as a Design Technician in the Facilities Department. I produced and upheld a Facility Sanitation Map for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health and Safety requirements. I managed projects relating to facility modifications and held a Health Canada Security Clearance, and WHMIS Certificate, joined the Health & Safety and Environmental Committee, and lead the Ethanol Extraction Lab project as the Start-up Lead. I also worked on the ground in production and performing horticultural duties.

Soon after, I started my own residential design business in 2021, which has been an enjoyable experience. I am thankful for having a family close by in my beautiful hometown and a history that spans five generations in the village. I also express gratitude for my work in collaboration with local trades that I trust.

My Story.
